After my last show and watching about 200 people walk through the gallery, talking to many about my art and also talking to other exhibiting artists, I decided that adding some color to my work may be what I need to get more interest for buyers. So ever since the show I have been playing with watercolors which are something that I have never been formerly trained in so have been watching tutorials and then going to the studio and applying what I have learned. Today I will scan and post some of my new pieces. I bounced back and forth between totally abstract to drawing images out and painting them in. Only the audience can tell me which they prefer so please leave your comments!

I want my audience to see the beauty that I see, and want to protect in my photographs. I am currently working in pen & ink in a more meditative process and work off of ideas from my photography, my dreams, concepts that I create and life itself. I am working on a series of historic buildings, starting in Edgerton, WI. I will also be involved with our farmers market here, the Edgerton Arts Board, & several local businesses on future projects. I do custom orders as well.

Hi Carol,
Sorry it took me this long to see this, it has been a really crazy time for me! I have been spending most of my time job hunting as the arts are taking second to survival for most and the market just isn't there. However everyone is competing for jobs and so that has been a full time job in itself! I have been drawing allot recently, mostly sketches to put into Photoshop and I'm now just starting to scan them into that program and going to start teaching myself more digital applications to use in advertising and book covers. I may also start classes again in the Spring. The local paper is going to do another interview this week too. I'm also going to be moving on the first, just not sure where. I was going to head to AZ. for the winter but my "One Field Left" painting fell through, so will brave the winter once again. How about you, what is new in your world?
